  • Annual Conference of Voluntary Service Providers

  • On the 7th of May 2018, the German Federal Office for civil society tasks held a conference for around 70 voluntary year providers from all over Germany. Tutors, mentors, social and youth workers got the chance to get to know the method and principle of the BADU Open badges. At the end of the half day confernce led by JKPeV's project manager Theresa Lempp, around 25 people signed up for further information on the project.

  • Europe is us! Youth workers meeting

  • On the 3rd of September 2018, Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. offered a workshop presenting the BADU Open Badges to 20 youth workers and youth organisations in a youth centre in Darmstadt. Theresa Lempp introduced the developed badges and the associated metadata and explained how they validate competences acquired in youth work. During the workshop, the participants had the opportunity to explore the BADU website and to learn how to register, award and claim the BADU open badges. There was also a discussion about how the badges could be used in their youth activities. In the end, they gave some helpful feedback to make the platform more user-friendly.

  • Workshop Quality in Youthwork

  • During a workshop with European youth workers organised by Jugend- und Kulturprojekt e.V. in Dresden, Theresa Lempp introduced the BADU Open Badges as a tool to develop quality in the youth work sector. First, the 30 participants worked in pairs to make self & peer assessment and to create their competence portfolios.Then, they were divided into two teams where they were instructed how to use the online platform and issue and claim open badges. At the end of this session all participants were asked to fill out an evaluation questionnaire providing feedback about the online platform and the open badge.

  • Multipliers event - Vicenza

  • A Multipliers event was organized in Vicenza in cooperation with the regional centre for voluntary organizations. Representatives form different organizations attended the event on which the topic was the European solidarity corp initiative and the recognitions of voluntary comptences. Giovanni Maccioni presented the BADU project and the open badges.  Following he went trought the online platform and how to use it: registration for organizations and volunteers and how to award a badge to the volunteers. Many question and a very interesting debate started and the recognition of the competencens expecially for the volunteering organizations. A good way to motivate volunteeers.

  • Final Conference and Workshop in Cagliari

  • On the 13th of March 2019, the EduMoby team held the final conference and a workshop, in which 43 people coming from different organizations and the University of Cagliari  attended and learned about the BADU project. Giovanni Maccioni presented the  BADU Open Badges project , the online platform  and the Guidebook, which explains how to use the BADU Open Badges and which are the benefits for the organizations and young volunteers. The Guidebook was distributed to alla participants with a leaflet. During the seminar and the workshop we went trought the use of the platform, how to register  and claim a badge.  An evaluation questionnaire was distributed to the participants. A report is available in the project material. The general feedback was really very positive and the use of the platform will be put into practice by different organizations, present at the seminar.

  • Final Conference and Workshop in Dresden

  • On the 14th of March 2019, the team of Jugend- & Kulturprojekt e.V. held the final conference and a workshop in which representatives of 20 organisations from Dresden, Saxony and Berlin learned about the BADU project. Theresa Lempp presented the BADU Open Badges, the online platform of the project and the Guidebook, which explains why BADU Open Badges can be beneficial for youth organisations and youth workers, how to register on the online platform and how to issue and claim Open Badges. Finally, the Catalogue of Good Practices was introduced which includes the experiences of volunteers and youth workers from Germany, Italy, Latvia and Spain having registered on the BADU online platform and been awarded with Open Badges. After the very valuable feedback of the participants the workshop was closed and the representatives involved can now start to use the BADU Open Badges in their organisations.

  • Final Event of the project BADU

  • Today the Team of GoEurope has organized in Valencia (Spain) the final event of the project BADU which also served as a workshop to the 20+ attendees and representatives of Spanish NGOs involved in youth work and mobility project locally and transnationally. The project main results have been shared with the participants who really liked the Guide and Catalogue of good practice and finally they have learned how to assign the badges and work with them.   • Final Event and different seminars In Latvia

  • Final event - BADU conference in Latvia took place in Jelgava Latvia March 28 in 2019.
