Zemgale NGO Centre

Has been established in 1998 with aim to promote the development of the civic society.Currently organization is a resource centre for more than 600 NGOs (non-profit organizations), 4000 information network users. Regular activities are consultations on fundraising for public beneficiary measures, information, education & technical assistance for non-profit organizations. Local and international voluntary projects are being implemented in cooperation with organizations from Europe, Jordan, Latin America (Nicaragua & Brazil), Georgia, Russia (region of Kamchatka) and cooperation is started with Ukraine, Armenia. Zemgale NGO Centre is also a language training center for Latvian, English, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian and French languages.We developed youth support measures, offering youth exchanges, local participation into organization as a volunteers or students within practice from the universities, international voluntary service, local youth initiatives and other measures to support the initiatives of young people. We also manage a number of language clubs available free of charge for young people in Zemgale region. Zemgale NGO Centre is currently the most experienced NGO in Zemgale region with more than 200 projects implemented. Zemgale NGO Centre has been awarded as most experienced youth organization in December 2014 by the Latvian Ministry of Education and Science.
